經過Aquagirl姊姊還有ㄎㄧㄤ的promote
我還是決定要忙裡偷閒地跑去參加這個第一次為alumni舉辦的活動
一進會場 陸續看到一些似乎曾經熟悉的面孔 但卻又喊不出他們的名字
由於我們直接挑了最後一個活動參加
所以前面也不知道辦得如何
下午的最後一個活動名稱是：產業工作坊
主要進行方式就是以work shop方式為主
分成管顧、金融、科技、FMCG (本來有我期待的奧美…不知為何取消了)
我選擇的是管顧&FMCG
首先登場的是管顧業的「德勤安理」
這間公司我去年底就和室友去台大參加過他們的說明會
全場的人大概只有我和我室友不是台大的吧 XD
當時對他們的印象是：跟我心目中的顧問形象好像有點差距
除了在McKinsey和A. T. Kearney待過的那位老闆外
其他人感覺上不是那麼presentable
而且因為強調那套model 感覺上會比較需要計量方面強一點的人才
但今天聽了之後 又有點改觀
為什麼改觀呢 這可能要分成三點來說 (學他的:p)
1. 今天來的除了之前見過的老闆 其他三位的素質感覺平均起來比上次的好 除了兩位@er表現得中規中 矩外 另一位MIT Sloan school畢業的更是明顯地比之前報告的人presentable許多
2. 老闆的思維邏輯表現地上一次來得更令人驚豔 雖然只是簡單的描述 但卻將欲表達的部分 很清楚且迅 速地呈現出來 真不愧是Wharton School出來的
3. @的知名alumni之一 Allen也在去年底加入該公司 所以感覺上也不一定要是計量background的人
不過後來的Q&A時間 老闆的答案卻讓我深思了許久
「如果你想要的是有一個SOP來解決問題的話 那你可能只適合作ERP的顧問」
「不要讓你所學的成為你的包袱，而要當成是你的工具」
「"包袱"和"工具"要怎麼區分呢？假設你所學的工具是一個槌子，那你把全世界的東西都當成是"釘子"的話，這時它就是你的包袱」
一直身處於IE這個領域之中，加上我對IE也有一定程度的信心
所以長久以來 我可能早已身陷於包袱當中而不自知
IE最常強調的就是SOP 因為是從製造的角度來思考
儘管近年來已經稍有增加研發和行銷兩端的比例 但畢竟不是專長
但problem solving倒應該要是我們的專長之一才是 這點也是不能妄自菲薄
anyway, 重要的是如何把所學變成實用的工具而非包袱才是最重要的~~
第二個我選的是FMCG
這個場次由於是三位年紀與我們相仿的AIESECer主講 所以感覺上比較親切一些
分別是近年來AIESECinTW ER界的大神 Ann (Uniliver) 台大分會0304 VPalumni (P&G) 以及 0506 總會的VPER (L’OREAL)
Ann用了一張圖來呈現她目前所做的工作內容
主要就是Customer、Channel和Manufacturer之間的interaction
也算是蠻清楚地讓大家理解他們大致上的作業方式與情形
三位的工作內容幾乎是大同小異
只是工作層級上的差異 Ann現在已是Customer Manager(客戶經理)
所以相對的在工作上所遇到的對象和客戶層級都是高階主管
而其他兩位的經歷大部分仍是與Channel之各分店的互動居多
聽完的結果是：似乎不是我非常有興趣的工作內容，因為我對這些產品的興趣不高…
但有幾個他們提到的小重點跟大家分享：
1. P&G雖然沒有Intern的制度，但內部訓練相當完善；Uniliver的訓練課程也不遑多讓。兩家公司同樣賦予新人頗高的責任和權限
2. Uniliver相當注重是否有develop別人的能力，也就是說在意的是你是否是個change agent，不單單只看你個人表現
3. AIESEC訓練其實蠻足夠的，甚至在P&G的意佳說：「你會發現公司運作上很多層面都很像AIESEC在做的，有些部分AIESEC甚至作得比P&G更強」Ann也補充說：「你會發現在AIESEC待得越久，妳出社會工作後越覺得其實工作沒那麼累，因為當初在AIESEC更累的情況都經歷過」
我覺得這部分還是她們以待過總會的經驗來說吧，雖然不是貶低自己的分會經驗
只是層級還是有差 總會那一年的操勞可能遠勝過我們三年所累積的量
整體來說 我還是覺得很開心至少總會開始跨出第一步
這的確是個可跟alumni與外部同時進行連結的good idea 同時也可以使整個AIESEC career更加完整
雖然過程中還不是那麼專業
(我發現不身處於其中後 再回頭用客觀一點的角度來看 我們離專業還有很大的進步空間尤其這又是總會等級的活動 如果只是場地和衣著專業的話 那只是表面功夫而已)
